Hi, I don't speak Polish but I'm hoping someone can translate as I know a lot of you speak very good English :) This is an Ewa Michalak 28H. The cup is slightly small on my larger breast but other than that it fits well. However I wanted your opinion on it, as I know you have a different fit method to the English and American communities.

Does this bra look like a good fit to you? If yes, awesome, if no, what is wrong? Thank you

Hi there and welcome. I see we get more English-speaking girls here :D

First things first - could you please take some better pics? Check the other posts here and see that we need three angles:
    1. Front view (a shot with the camera positioned paralell to your breasts), showing everything from a bit under the band up to your shoulders and the sides as well.
    2. Side view - showing the entire side of the band, the position of wires and the fit of the cups on the breats (preferably a shot from slightly above your breasts, never from a lower angle than parallel to them!).
    3. Off profile (? sorry, don't know the exact term) - this would show both breasts from the side, so we can see if there is no bulging or no extra space in the cups.

You can combine the photos in MSPaint, Picassa or any other graphic program and then post it as one photo (you can edit this post and just change the picture) :)

Unfortunately this single photo doesn't show us enough :(

    Welcome on balkonetka :)
Fitting method here is quite similar to English I guess. Difference is in sizing. Ewa Michalak has her own sizing chart which you can see here: http://www.ewa-michalak.pl/Size-Calcu... Her bras are really tight and there's no need to buy tighter band than your underbust measurement.
As for me size 28H is too tight for you and that's why cups may be deformed. They only SEEM to be too small.
Try to measure yourself like it's showed on Ewa Michalak website and often this size is correct.

Maybe try to take better photos? These are blurred and it's really hard to tell anything.

    Example: good set of photos

I've tried a 30 band in a PL, PL doesn't work very well for me because my boob shape is more projected than the bra, but the 30 band was too big (65) and rode up throughout the day to the point where it was almost at my neck. I have very high set boobs though so that could be why?

I will try to update with some better photos :)

    welcome on balkonetka:)
I agree that it's difficult to evaluate the fit from these photos. One thing is pretty sure though, the cups aren't too small:)
is the underbust measurement tight? I can hardly imagine an effuniak's 65 band riding up to the neck on a 68 cm ribcage. The only explanation could be the straps adjusted too tight. I have 63 cm measured tight and 68-9 loose. I choose the 65 or 70 bands in this brand depending on the tightness.

My ribcage tight is 66 cm.

    Better pics, are these alright

    http://i.imgur.com/KN2dpwH.jpg

I have photos of how much too big the band is. I had just put it on so put my hands under it to show how much too loose it is

Do you think this is just the one model? Would other 65 bands be better?

Also the reason I thought the cup was too small is the gore sits a little bit on my breast tissue on my larger size, but that is probably because my breasts are close together

Now I think just like vesela_krava. Are you measuring underbust really tight? On new photos it looks quite good :)

I did it as tight as I can get but my tape measure is plastic and not cloth, maybe I am not pulling tight enough?

Thank you for all your help, I wasn't sure if anyone would reply because I don't speak the language. You're all very helpful!

Now better ;) Generally it looks fine, but there's some small issues.

Well, band looks fine, maybe little too tight (hard to tell, for example, I would not be able to breath in band, which is that tight, but maybe it's fine for you). I think in band 65 you just shorten the straps too much, that's way it rides up that much. Cups aren't too small for sure. I think maybe CHP style isn't good enough for you - your breasts look they're really close to each other and there's no place for them between your breast. PL style may looks better, wires are lower. But if you don't like it - maybe you're just incompatible with Ewa Michalak's bras, it's possible.

Sometimes we need something between bands - maybe it would be better for you to take 65 band and use tighter hooks (not the last one). What's your measurment underbust on exhale, really, really tight? What's the measurment with deep breath? Different band can't solve the problem with wires between your boobs in CHP style, but maybe PL style will look better?

Sorry for my poor English, I'm trying my best ;)

May I ask which PL with 30 band did you try? There are some models not so tight, for example my Black PL is really loose. But I had Perełka PL once and it was the tightest bra I ever had

Your English is very good, much better than my Polish! I'm trying to learn what I can from here :)

The band feels fine on me but I wonder whether to try a 65 again to see whether or not it feels better. Would you recommend a 65 on the middle hooks or a 60 with an extender in between band sizes. My ribs are 66cm fully exhaled.

They're quite close yes, the PLs aren't projected enough which is why I prefer CHP. Maybe I have to compromise. The gore isn't uncomfortable, it just doesn't sit perfectly flat.

    I think 66cm fully exhaled.

I tried PL Ceilus in 30H, the cup was slightly small and the band loose. I find I need a cup larger in the PL for some reason

More - if the wires between your breast don't do you harm and they're comfortable for you (no pain, no bruises or something like that, it happens sometimes unfortunately), it's ok. Sometimes it causes lack of support, but if you feel fine, that's ok. It doesn't mean the cups are too small - the truth is it happens to most of women, who have breast that close between each other ;) For example - for me CHP wires are ok, but if they're a little higher, I will have exactly the same problem. That's why I wear plunge bras almost all the time ;)

And I just learned new word - "gore"! It means the wires between boobs, right?

I have the same problem with bands. My underbust is 68 tight, 73 loose and 65 band is too tight for me, 70 is little too loose. I prefer 70 and sometimes I just use middle hooks, depends of day. But my boobs are smaller ;) The most important is how you feel - if it's comfortable, it's ok.

Yeah it feels comfortable, supportive but not too tight. I wonder if that has something to do with it, if bigger boobs need firmer bands. Thank you for the replies :)

I tried Cieluś PL too and it wasn't really tight, so this may cause your problem. Maybe someone can tell which Effuniak is really tight and then band 30 (65) would fit you perfectly :)

So you think 65 band in tight styles and is the 60 okay for looser ones?

I think so. Long time ago I had 73cm underbust and 75 was too loose - 70 too tight.
From models which I tried i can say that Wiśniówka and Toffik are really loose, Perełka was totally tight, but it's not produced anymore :(

Update: I measured my ribcage super tight with string and measuring tape as my measuring tape is plastic, and my tight measurement is actually 64cm not 66. I think this makes a difference? Thank you for all your advice you were all very helpful :D

Hi! You are rather thiny, I thik you need't a super thight measurement. It's more important for girls, whom have more fat on a rib cage, they need take a measurement rather thight. A bra band must hold on our rib cage and muscles.
The first one - the band must be comfortable.

We had been speaking about bands under rhoffman's photos, I'll cite Missalchemist:

"I think you make some mistakes in assumptions - the band shouldn't be as tight as possible, just tight enough to keep the breast in their place. But! It doesn't mean it should stay still always and forever - that's not a sport bra! It can ride up a little during all day (the band fabric stretches a little, it's totally normal). It's also a plunge style - that kind of bra is not for the best support ever, but for show more boobs ;)

Laws of physics - if the breast are not all covered (and this is the main assumption of plunge or halfcup bras), the support is little bit worse."

"And one more - take a measurment underbust deep breathing. I think it could be something about 78-80 cm. The band should stretch at least that much - to breathe comfortable. It's not good for health, if you can't take a deep breath!"

Breathing out my underbust is 68cm. Weirdly it doesn't change very much when I breathe in or out, only 4cm. I know other people's change much more

That change is about 15 cm for me, so probably I need more loose band than you (that's true, I often take size band largen then my thigh measurement and I find it comfortable). A thight measurement only is not enough for choose right size band, it's also a question of caps size, a build, a breathig way, an individuall sensitivity and many, many others. Nobody knows, how can you feel in yours bra.

I'm asthmatic so that may be why, perhaps I don't breathe as deeply as others without asthma.

I find 60 comfortable in this bra and in the PL milady but I think in styles that run tight I will take a 65. I'm going to always check before hand whether the style is known to run tight or loose :)

In my opinion the band seems to be a little bit too tight and the straps seem to be too much shortened - the edge of cup near to the armpit looks like it was cutting into your body, don't you have red marks there?
But generally it looks quite nice fit.

My brother is asthmatic too, I asked him for his change and this is also about 4cm. Maybe it's an asthma, or maybe you are both a belly breather, breathe more by midriff ? It's possible. I brethe more by my ribs, absolutely.

I do have my straps very tight but I have short shoulders, I have to get straps and halternecks shortened if not they slip off. On these bras I just adjust them because they are adjustable. I have a tiny torso lengthwise. It doesn't mark as such, I get a small line but no more than I get from socks or anything else.

Pin up girl: That's interesting, I would definitely say I am more of a belly breather, so it is possibly both a combination!
